Hammond trail rag doll gingham red and white plaid design

I began creating this rag doll that would 

be similar to the era of 1800's. I created

the Hammond Trail Doll to give adults

and children a chance to experience

what a doll looked and felt like in the

1800's. Rag dolls were created to give

children comfort on long Wagon trails. 

These dolls Traveled with them in

wagons packed with supplies looking for

new opportunities. Often made out of

scrap fabric leftover from other projects.

It was such a special gift that was

handmade with love.

 The Hammond Trail Doll is made out of

100 percent cotton fabric. Each doll is

handmade by me with an attached card

with a saying:

approximately 14" long is created and

designed by Dear Debra Fashion

Designs. This is a very unique doll that

is handmade. Each peice of new fabric is

carefully picked. Giving this special doll

its very old Fashion features. Each doll

is designed to look like a doll made out

of fabric scraps from the 1800's to give

the doll that specific look.
